Our district nurses visit to carry out dressings, removal of stitches, administer injections, carry out blood tests and annual reviews for chronic diseases such as Diabetes and CHD. They are proficient in leg care and can offer advice and carry out tests to ascertain the extent and treatment for leg problems. They liaise closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to maintain the most up to date care and continuity.

They provide care for acutely and chronically ill patients and play a key role for those who have terminal illness. They can also help with continence promotion.
